It was a pleasant surprise for Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy when his former business partner, Dapo Oyebanjo (D’banj) dedicated his MTVMAMA2015 Evolution Award to him.

“And finally,” he said and added, “To my long time brother, my friend and partner who told me 10 years ago that he wanted me to be the youngest African living legend. I dedicate this award to you.”
Without wasting time, Don Jazzy who was seated in the hall quickly took a selfie and thanked his former partner. (see below)
The Evolution awards is a new category honouring established artists who have made an indelible mark on African and global music culture. Other acts who were nominated for the to Tuface, PSquare, HHP, Fally Pupa and Asa.
