Floyd Mayweather is officially set to fight Andre Berto in September.
For weeks now both sides have been talking and making arrangements,as for now,its a done deal and the two will slug it out in Vegas on September 12th.
Berto speaks out, “It’s a pleasure and honor to be in this position and I’m looking forward to capitalizing on every moment of it”.
It is reported, there’s some bad blood between the two,Berto is claiming that Mayweather has been disturbing him on phone over a rumoured woman.
But a new angle has emerged with Victor Ortiz blasting Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto, describing the upcoming match as an “embarrassment” and both fighters need to retire.
Ortiz was out in New york getting ready to attend the premiere of his new boxing flick “Southpaw” when he attacked the duo… saying the matchup was a disgrace to the sport.
“I have no respect for that,” Ortiz said.He even went further to propose a comeback with Mayweather.
Victor Ortiz who was beaten by Mayweather in 2011,did have one suggestion for Floyd “drop Berto and swap him in instead”. “Gimme some kind of a chance to redeem myself.”
