Friends and family of a lady Evangelist identified as Nancy in Okpanam community, Asaba, Delta State, are still at a loss as to why she committed suicide
A report by Leadership said that the 32-year-old allegedly stabbed herself to death when she could no longer stand her husband’s inability to perform his conjugal duties on bed by leaving her unsatisfied whenever they made love.
It was gathered that the lady’s frustration got to breaking point on Saturday, June 6, and she could no longer take it again and decided to take her own life following another unsatisfied night.
Family sources say that the woman who was an Evangelist with a popular church in the state, had reported to her husband’s family several times about his sexual weakness during intercourse, threatening often that she could not take it again.
Insiders reveal that the deceased had married her husband, a prominent mechanical engineer, some few years ago without any form of pre-marital sex, and when it dawned on her after marriage that the man could not perform, she became worried and began to grumble over the situation
Officers at the Okpanam Police Division confirmed the sad incident, saying neighbours saw her lifeless body in her room with a knife stuck in her stomach, after the husband had gone to work and they are investigating the circumstances.
