Veteran actress, Joke Silva is bereaved after losing her aged mother to death.

Her late mother, Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva reportedly died peacefully on Sunday morning July 19^th at her Apapa, Lagos residence. She was aged 89.

Late Madam Silva, a holder of Officer of the Order of The Niger (OON) is regarded as the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree.

She made the headlines on March 28 when she casted her vote in her wheelchair.

She is survived by her children among who is Joke Silva and numerous grandchildren.
