Blogger, Linda Ikeji is raising her game by forking out over a N100 million into expanding her digital media business to rival bring brands including Notjustok, Pulseng and Naij.
ExpressNG source said that the blogger will be floating mp3 music download site known as Linda Ikeji Music set to rival sites like Notjustok and Tooxclusive among others.
Ikeji, who has engaged the services of top professionals to man different departments, is launching two additional businesses that are online related, TV programmes and an online radio. The other one is LIS which might have something to do with fashion.
The new expansion will also revamp her popular blog as she is already recruiting reporters, writers and editors. This will put her on the same scale with structured digital businesses such as Switzerland funded, Pulseng and Russian sponsored Naij.
Said the source, “Linda has finally registered her company and is planning to move on to greater things beyond the success that everybody can see. She feels there is still much that she could still achieve, there are unconquered territories and many unexplored opportunities between the worlds of social media she needs to explore.
“She is not just satisfied with being the number one blogger and she doesn’t want to remain a one-man business anymore. She has the track record and what it takes to function as one of the business houses in Africa and that is what she is doing.”
When contacted, the blogger confided that she will speak more about her new project at a unveiling ceremony that will happen soon.
