It may appear that pop duo, P Square had a great show in Washington DC on Saturday from the images of enthusiastic crowd that has emerged from the well-attended gig.
But when you move pass that façade, you would find that apparently not all their fans who gathered at large hall of Echo Stage, Washington DC are pleased with the outcome of the event.
Some of the grouses of the angry America-based fans include a four hour unexplained delay of the event and some technical hitches.
It was the first performance of their multi-city US tour at the venue, which pride itself as ‘the largest dedicated concert venue outfitted to house large-scale concert productions ranging from rock and hip-hop to dance’. The event was packaged a promotion outfit identified as Quiet As Kept Productions that organized OVO Drake’s Birthday Bash! @ Ibiza in Washington, DC among others.
According to information available on Eventbrite.com, ticketing for the show ranged from advance regular of $44 to $100 advance VIP.
Expressing his displeasure on Echo Stage Facebook fanpage, Jack Nelson said, “ P Sq came on at 1:15am for a show that was TICKETED at 9pm — the staff says the echostage benefit is that they’re open til 4am (I’m sure no one is left there now). Sound was HORRIBLE for the show and drinks were $10 a piece. Won’t ever go back to Echostage, suggest you email them at [email protected] to voice your displeasure if you were at the show.”
Another fan, Sitinga Kachipande added, “This is ridiculous. It’s past midnight and no sign of P-square and the audience is upset. We understand 1-2 hrs later but close to 4 hrs is too much and not worth a repeat visit.”
As at press time, reactions were still being expected from Echo Stage, Quiet As Kept Productions and P Square.
