Popular Reggae Musician, Ras Kimono has predicted that at the rate at which Young Nigerians and top artistes abuse drugs, there’s every possibility that many will run mad in the next 10 years.
In an Interview with The Nation Newspapers, the artiste bared his mind on the issue of drugs, and explaining his stance on avoiding the abuse and intake of hard drugs.
Considering the fact that his genre of music is well associated with the Ganja (Marijuana) smoking culture, he still quipped that he has never had nothing to do with ganja/alcohol .
This is his 30th year in the business as a reggae musician.
He further stressed that with close examination, the young entertainers of today have gotten it wrong as they are chiefs in drug abuse and alcoholism.
Read his words below; “With the rate at which our young entertainers are abusing drugs, and alcohol, many of them will be raving mad, in asylums, or rehab in the next 10 years”.
“I have never smoked ,nor drank alcohol in my over thirty years as a musician. There are a number of reggae musicians who do not abuse drugs, nor drink alcohol.”
