Basketmouth (Bright Okpocha) who is arguably Nigeria’s hottest comedian at the moment, is set to feature on an Al Jazeera documentary titled ‘My Nigeria‘ .

This documentary will be a series of six half-hour documentaries telling the human story and pulsing with the energy of Africa’s leading economy.

It also features Nigerian celebrities such as Kate Henshaw and Deola Sagoe, and also feature everyday Nigerians.

The documentary will start airing by August 24, 2015,  – that’s in two weeks time – so stay tuned for that.

According to Ingrid Falck, head of documentaries at Al Jazeera English;

The series was commissioned specifically to support Al Jazeera English’s brand, ‘Hear The Human Story,’ to bring people’s stories directly to our screens, told in in a first-person style without mediation, offering a range of authentic views,”

Al Jazeera also described Basketmouth “as arguably Nigeria’s most successful stand-up comic. Born and bred in the notorious Lagos slum Ajegunle. He discovered his gift for comedy by chance and has never looked back. His take on the Lagos elite is upbeat, irreverent and challenging.

BasketMouth is currently on a Canadian Tour in the company of his wife and two lovely kids.
