Following Abike Dabiri’s onslaught and public reaction about the publication by Diamond bank on the Punch Newspapers about a shady debt situation, the two entities concerned have both tendered their apologies.
Former House of Representatives member, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has reacted to Diamond Bank’s apology for including her name in her list of bad debtors.
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa had earlier yesterday taken the Bank and Punch Newspapers to court over the reports.
She urged the court, in her suit, to grant her whooping sum of N500 million in damages from both defendants.
But Diamond Bank however have apologized in today’s edition of the Punch saying that the inclusion of her name on the list was “erroneous and is deeply regretted”.
She reacted to their apologies in a tweet this afternoon, saying;
“Diamond bank apologizes to me in two newspapers. Agreed they erred. Well? If you were me what would you do # if I was Abike.”
