The showbiz industry with the curious exception of one particular person practically relocated to Benin, capital of Edo State for the engagement ceremony between the duo of Gbenro Ajibade and Osas Ighodaro.
Present at the very colourful ceremony were a cross section of celebrities drawn from nollywood as well as comedy and music industry.
But the absence of the groom’s best buddy, Uti Nwachukwu is stll being talked about in showbiz circuit.
Uti and Gbenro who are oftened confused for each other because of their striking resemblance and have carved a reputation as one of the few celebrity Best Friends Forever (BFF).
When asked about his absence from the ceremony by Reporters on Wednesday at the Industry Night gig celebrity JJC, Uti’s reaction was dramatic. Infuriated by the question, he sarcastically queried to his questioner, “‘what happened in Benin?”
The break down of communication between Gbenro and Uti was not hidden to some in the industry but the latteer’s absence at the wedding ceremony further accentuated the difference between the two friends.
Although the cause of the bitter feud is not known however, Uti was spotted in April with the couple at AY Live. Their feud may be unconnected to the friendship triangle that also include actor, Alexx Ekubo who was slso absent from the wedding.
ExpressNG gathered that the former BBA star is likely to miss the Juky 4th white-wedding scheduled for New York.
