Lionel Messi has beaten Ronaldo once again to the UEFA Best Player Of the Year Award, and The Real Madrid Star doesn’t Lock Particularly Pleased.
Lionel Messi says he is ‘very happy’ which is really obvious from the Smiles on his face.
The FC Barcelona superstar also trounced his teammate, Luis Suarez to be voted as the 2014/15 UEFA Best Player in Europe.
Despite Ronaldo’s superb form last season for Real Madrid, Messi always looked the favourite for the award, his devastating form for Barcelona contributing to the team’s famous treble.
Messi found the net 58 times for the Catalan club, but he brought more than just goals to the side, providing 31 assists for his teammates too.
The superstar was the key member of Europe’s deadliest attack last season, scoring a combined total of 122 goals with Neymar (31) and Suarez (25).
Ronaldo, who came in second in the voting, scored 61 goals for Los Blancos in the past campaign, but his chances of winning were decidedly diminished by Real’s disappointing campaign.
Messi last won the award in 2010/11, while Andres Iniesta, Frank Ribery and Ronaldo were the winners in 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14, respectively.
