South African OAP, Bonang Matheba Exposed As she Resigns from Metro FM

South African media queen, Bonang Matheba has been accused by her former bosses at SABC of lying. This came out after the media queen resigned from her position as the host of Metro FM’s Front Row, following the switch up of things at their place of work.

Earlier reports said the media queen resigned because she refused to work with another staff, Lerato Kganyago as co-host of the famous show, but Matheba went on Twitter yesterday to deny this. According to her, she left because she was only informed of the changes at her office an hour before she went on air.

However, new receipts by the board of SABC made available to Times Live, show that Matheba was actually in the know of the changes, that the managers had tried to get her in a meeting; they reached her on phone, chatted her up on WhatsApp, but the media queen reportedly denied receiving the requests, failed to arrive for scheduled meetings, only to show up at work late yesterday, and then resign over claims that she was “bamboozled”.

It is getting real messy. Times Live adds that the sources at SABC said the media guru tried to “hold” the station to “ransom”.

When reached for comment, Bonang Matheba said the company’s public broadcaster only contacted her on April 2, when she was with her family.

“How? How would I have known before? We all found out this morning. Why would I lie about something so important?” she told the press.

Meanwhile, her bosses have published copies of the contract letters sent to everyone at the workplace, announcing the changes and meetings.
