‘Aye’ Crooner, Davido now has the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency coming after him over his new music video titled ‘Fans mi.’
NDLEA is currently investigating Davido (real name David Adeleke) for showing off hard drugs in his recently dropped music video featuring Maybach top artist, Meek Mill.
The video which has already hit over a million views on Youtube featured scences of Davido discussing with an unidentified man as they haggle over a briefcase of dollars and a bag full of parcels of hard drugs.
There are also other lewd scenes in the video.
According to Sunday Telegraph, NDLEA’s Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju in an exclusive interview with them said,
“The agency considers the musical video ‘Fans Mi’ inappropriate and indecent. It has the tendency to negatively influence and induce drug use and trafficking.
Besides, it is counter-productive on the campaign against drug production, trafficking and abuse. The agency is investigating the matter and will take necessary action.”
Popular music video critic, Mrs. Nuella O’Peters also voiced her concerns on the video saying,
“It’s really outrageous seeing a brand ambassador and a mentor to millions of African youths indulging in such acts. He even went as far as using the substance for cooking in the video.
Can you imagine! It’s uncalled for. I do hope the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation will do something about the video.”
