There is a looming war in the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, NANP, following the death of its president, Jessica Elvis.
ExpressNG reports that Elvis, whose real name is Oluchi died Sunday after at an undisclosed hospital in Edo State.
The group attributed the cause of her death to prolonged heart-related disease.
Barely 24 hours after Elvis died, the immediate past president, Felix Efoyo has illegally declared herself president of the association.
A top member of the ring told our reporter that Efoyo who was defeated during the August general election has been sending text messages to members, calling for emergency meeting.
“This is shameful, Madam Efoyo does not even have regard for the dead. I got her sms this morning, calling on all exco to converge in our place of meeting. She addressed herself as the new president.
“Won’t her old sense tell her NANP has rejected her? This is too bad. Even if we want to elect new president, not her. Sandra, the VP is there who should step in till after the burial. Shame on Efoyo,” the member who would not want her name in print said.
Another member of the group told our reporter that Efoyo has been trying to break the group, following her exit from office in August.
“We would prefer to remain without president if Efoyo would lead us again. Jessy has not been buried but she’s claiming President already. Only God knows the real cause of her death. God dey!,” she added.
Meanwhile, the group has declared three days of no sex in honour of the deceased.
It enjoined its members to comply with the directive in honour of their late leader.
