Femi Branch Reportedly Jailed At Kirikiri Prison Over N1.5m Dud Cheque – Entertainment Express

Popular actor, Femi Branch became an unlikely guest among inmates at Kirikiri Maximum Prison on the orders of an Ikeja Magistrate court for reportedly issuing a dud cheque of N1.5million to De Santo Hotel, Ikeja.

The actor was dragged before the courts after accumulating some months of hotel bills worth N1.5million.

Sources said that the management of De Santo Hotel went to the police to officially lodge a complaint which led to the arrest of the actor. He was subsequently charged to Ikeja magistrate court 1 on the 20 of November, 2015.

It was gathered that the actor was granted a bail of N500,000 due on self-recognition and was remanded in Kirikiri Prison until he could fulfill his bail conditions.

According to reports it took some weeks for the actor to meet his bail condition. After he was bailed, Femi Branch hosted the Best of Nollywood award in Ondo state. His case has been adjourned to January 6, 2016.
