DJ Cuppy Rules Africa, Announces 8 City Tour – Entertainment Express

Wave-making female Disc Jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola otherwise called DJ Cuppy has moved another step towards dominating the continental stage.

The hardworking Disc Jockey is flagging off an eight city continent wide tour across Africa. Tagged ‘Cuppy Takes Africa’, the ambitious tour kicks off August 1 in Nigeria and runs through eight countries with a final stop in South Africa.

Her latest move follows the recent release of her latest compilation ‘House Of Cuppy II’, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola aka DJ Cuppy.

“Exploring Africa and its vast culture has always been a dream of mine,” she gushed at a media briefing to flag-off the tour.

���I am so excited to discover the music, the people and soak in experiences from this tour!” she added.

‘Cuppy Takes Africa’ will include performances, major artiste collaborations, press ops and charitable engagements is proudly supported by GTBank

According to her, the tour would present a platform to push the Nigerian brand via music as a Culture Ambassador with Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC).

The celebrated DJ who has under her belt a slew of high profile jobs including the 2014 Financial Times Summit and MTV Africa Music Awards, is passionate about the education of Africa’s future leaders and will support girls’ schools and NGOs in every country she visits through the tour in partnership with the Dangote Foundation.

Also speaking, Tour Manager, Asa Asika revealed that there will be collaboration with home grown talents in each regions to foster a cross-fertilization of cultures.

“This is the first of its kind by a Nigerian and we are excited to a make a mark as well as open the door of opportunities for other acts to follow.”

Accra, Ghana – August 7

Nairobi, Kenya – August 10

Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania – August 15

Kigali, Rwanda – August 21

Kampala, Uganda – August 22

Johannesburg, South Africa –August 29
