Whitenicious CEO, Dencia has slammed Nigerians for forgetting to Celebrate the 18th anniversary of world renowned Music icon, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

The Controversial singercriticized Africans for jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to celebrating American stars and others but ignoring legends from their own setting.

She paid her tribute to late Afrobeat founder, Fela Anikulapo Kuti whose 18th death anniversary was marked over the weekend.

The Cameroon-born US-based singer bared it all on Instagram, holding none back.

#RIP to one of the most original and influential African artists of all time.#felakuti. It’s pathetic that most Africans do not even acknowledge this day (he died 8/2/1997)but jump the bandwagon when it comes to Cecil the lion , 2pac , biggie and others (Ma toju opinion mi fun ra mi )I honored him in the #africanenergy video after learning what he stood for. He was a candid supporter of human rights and pan Africanism. The true originator of AfroBeats. He will forever remain one of Africa’s most celebrated entertainers whose voice and music stood for something and just like Late Fela,I believe in a united African republic & pan Africanism.✊ #LetsCelebrateOurOwn
