Nollywood sweetheart, Queen Nwokoye is optimistic of winning what may be her biggest award as an actress for the Best Actress Awards in Leading Role Category at the yet to be held Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
Others in contention include Ini Edo (While You Slept), Jocelyn Dumas (Silver Rain), Lesliana Pereira (NJINGA: Queen of Angola) and Aida Wang (Juliet and Romeo)
The actress who is based in the South East expressed her gratitude and excitement to be finally recognized for her hard work.
According to her, the nomination came as pleasant surprise, and she thanked fans who made it possible.
“I am still not over the pleasant surprise of being nominated in the 2015 AMAA Awards Best actress in a Lead role category. Now city people Entertainment awards. Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate you.
“I wouldn’t have come this far without you. Being patient and waiting for Gods time pays. For me,being nominated is winning… Yes I said it hehehehehehe,” she wrote.
Queen Nwokoye’s role in Chigozie Atuanya’s movie; Chetanna, got her the nomination and she is set to battle for the trophy with other top female stars in likes of Lesliana Pereira , Queen Nwokoye, Aida Wang, Jocelyn Dumas, and Ini Edo.
