Hull City’s Ryan Mason battling for his life after suffering fractured skull at Chelsea

Ryan Mason is in hospital fighting for his life following his horrific clash with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

The 25-year-old collided with Cahill at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, but Hull’s man came off far worse.

Mason received on-field treatment for almost 10 minutes from medical staff before being stretchered off and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital – one of London’s top acute trauma centres.

The Hull midfielder suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain, and he is now set to undergo an emergency operation.
