President Muhammadu Buhari, is poised to effect some changes in the federal cabinet in the next couple of weeks.

The president is said to be under intense pressure from some ‘powerful’ forces, including his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to “undertake a cleansing of the Federal Executive Council (FEC),” it was gathered.

As part of the impending changes, the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, and her foreign affairs counterpart, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, may be moved to other ministries.

Also, the tripod of the Works, Housing and Power Ministry under former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, may be split into three. Besides, the Transportation Ministry under Mr. Rotimi Amaechi might also be split into Transport and Aviation Ministries.

Senator Hadi Sirika may fully man the Aviation Ministry if it is eventually severed from transportation.

There is absolutely no need to review Buahari’s cabinet, especially removing or moving Mrs Adeosun to another ministry. Mrs Adeosun is exactly where she needs to be and I believe she is the only one at this point in time that can manage the country’s economy effectively.

This is a very laughable news story from a jobber who wants traffic to his/her site. Now that you’ve been noticed, can we move on? Buhari’s cabinet needs no shuffling at the moment because the ministers are doing a very good job. Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun is one who has done the best in her power to revive a dying economy.

It is only those that are naive and unreasonable that are instigating or agitating for the removal of the honourable Minister of finance, who has done pretty well in terms of stabilising the economy after a very rough beginning.

There is absolutely no need for substituting our present Finance Minister with another person that will have to study and familiarise him or herself with Nigeria’s chaotic economic system. Mrs Kemi Adeosun has achieved this fit for herself, she understands the system and how it works, all we need is patience; which President Buhari asked for while he took over power.

We need to learn the art of patience in this country, we are not novice or unconcious of Nigeria’s present economy, so why do we want to heap the entire blame on our Minister of Finance; who has done pretty much in the space of this short time.

Nigerians knew from the onset that the road was going to be rough, since our economy didn’t deteriorate overnight. We should as well admit that the Minister of Finance; Mrs Kemi Adeosun is not a magician, she’s done well so far so good.

Change of cabinet my foot! Buhari is under no pressure. He took his time to pick his team, so he is in no hurry to discard them. Moreover Kemi Adeosun is doing a fantastic job. It would only take some time, but it would come good.
