Since marrying in May 2014, they have been on a huge spending binge. Big ticket items include a $21m (£13m) home and Kanye’s Lamborghini
Also spent thousands on North West, including a £32,000 pair of earrings.Kim spends £66,000 a year on her beauty routine alone, while he thinks nothing of taking his $750,000 (£483,000) Lamborghini to the McDonald’s drive-thru.
Welcome to the big-spending world Kim Kardashian and Kanye West where taking a private jet for a journey that would have taken 30 minutes by car comes as standard – as do lavish wardrobes, £7m weddings and more bling than Harry Winston.
But while enjoying an opulent lifestyle isn’t unusual in the rarefied world of Hollywood, the Kardashian-Wests have taken splashing out to new heights in the year since their marriage.
Lavish holidays in Mexico and Armenia, wardrobes crammed with designer clothes and a garage-full of luxury cars have all helped them rack up a bill amounting to millions.
The youngest member of the family, 23-month-old North West, is no exception, with her parents happy to lavish thousands of pounds on clothes destined to be worn once or twice before being discarded.
And that’s not all. From Kim’s luxury beauty routine to Kanye’s private jet habit, FEMAIL takes a closer look at the numbers.
The couple are collectively worth £215m – £85m for Kim and £130m for Kanye
Finding the perfect property isn’t always the easiest of tasks but Kim and Kanye have managed to unearth not one but two – albeit for a price.
The couple own two LA mansions, one in the upmarket neighbourhood of Bel Air and the other in Hidden Hills, a rural enclave in the San Fernando Valley.
One, the $11 million (£7.1 million) Bel Air home, has recently had a makeover, while the Hidden Hills property, which sits within an exclusive gated community, reportedly cost $21 million (£13 million) when they snapped it up last August.
Set in three acres of manicured lawns, the eight-bedroom mansion boasts two pools, a helipad and its own vineyard, as well as his n’ hers wings and a private gym.
Should that not be enough entertainment, the 16,000sqft home also boasts its own theatre with suede lined walls, a wet bar and a library.
Despite the gargantuan proportions of their mansion, the property clearly wasn’t big enough for Kanye who, in December last year, spent another $2.9 million (£1.8 million) purchasing the house next door.
The couple reportedly have permission to tear down the property – freeing up another 1.49 acres for the Kardashian-Wests to use as they see fit.
Luckily for the couple’s bank balance, while the estate didn’t come cheap, there is a free babysitter to hand – the property sits in the same gated community as Kris Jenner’s own lavish home.
They didn’t quite hit the lavish heights reached by Petra Ecclestone, who spent £12m on her 2011 wedding to James Stunt, but with a £7m bill to pick up afterwards, the Kardashian-West marriage didn’t come cheap.
Kim and Kanye married in the historic Forte di Belvedere which cost them $410,000 (£265,000) to hire
A seven-day extravaganza that combined partying in Paris with a romantic wedding in Florence, the couple’s nuptials took place in front of 600 guests in May 2014.
Kim wore a custom-made Givenchy couture gown, a snip at $500,000 (£323,000), while the venue, the historic Forte di Belvedere, cost an eye-watering $410,000 (£265,000).
The cake was a 7ft vanilla and berry tower decorated with gold leaf ($6,800 or £4,930) and the couple lavished $136,000 (£87,000) on the flowers, all of which were fragrant white roses.
Guests, meanwhile, had the $500,000 (£323,000) bill for accommodation in Florence picked up by the couple and were also offered the services of a $65,000 (£42,000) glam squad.
Entertainment came from tenor Andrea Bocelli who was paid somewhere between $136,000 (£87,000) and $1.3m (£870,000), although the Kardashian-Wests did save some cash thanks to Lana del Rey who agreed to perform at the wedding for free.
It’s not easy to look as good as Kim Kardashian – and maintaining that famous face and even more famous backside doesn’t come cheap.
The 34-year-old lavishes an estimated £65,000 a year on staying gorgeous, with 24-carat gold facials and tequila body scrubs among her favourite treatments.
Basics include fortnightly £800 facials at Beverly Hills salon Bailey’s as well as a monthly 24-carat gold UMO facial and twice weekly anti-ageing glycolic face peels.
Kim is also thought to be a huge fan of eyelash extensions and has a weekly appointment to fix any strays and keep them topped up.
Regular blasts of Fraxel cosmetic laser treatment, costing up to £2000 a time, keep her complexion peachy
Her famous derrière is maintained via a mixture of intense workouts and twice monthly spa days at the five star Four Seasons hotel.
Her favourite treatments include £110 body scrubs made with tequila, tangerine and sunflower oil and she has also admitted to having laser cellulite removal on various parts of her body as well as two detoxifying mud wraps per month.
Nails and hands are cared for at Beverly Hills Nail Design, where Kim reportedly spends £95 on each luxury manicure she has.
Hair, meanwhile, is entrusted to celebrity stylist Philip Wolff at the Shades salon, also in Beverly Hills, where styling sessions cost £500 a pop.
North’s wardrobe includes Maison Martin Margiela and Givenchy
Nowhere is this more obvious than in the baby’s wardrobe which boasts more designer names than Paris Fashion Week and the price tag to match.
Names that feature prominently include Alexander Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Celine and Givenchy, with each item reportedly costing north of $600 (£390) – although many are custom-made and so firmly within the ‘price on request’ bracket.
According to People magazine, Kim spent $250,000 (£161,000) on clothes for Nori before she was even born, with many of her babygros and bootees bought from Dior, Chanel and Versace.
Her baby blankets, meanwhile, cost $800 (£520) and came from the venerable French label, Hermes.
Other cars in their fleet include this silver Bentley, driven, in this case, by Kim
On top of that, the couple are frequent flyers and fans of a luxury holiday, beginning with their lavish honeymoon in the glamorous Puerto Vallarta in Mexico in July last year.
